This is your last chance to sign up for the first Big Dog Treasure Hunt, scheduled to take place on April 3rd, 2009 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This new reality television show will air for over 4 weeks during late spring/early summer of 2009 on the Travel Channel and can also be seen online right here on BanderasNews.
First Prize is $10,000 USD in cash with overall cash and prizes of $25,000. The Big Dog Treasure Hunt is a race of strategy and knowledge of Puerto Vallarta.
Contestants will receive clues and points for finding treasures and performing challenges in specific locations around the Bay of Banderas. At the end of the race, the team that has the most points is declared the winner of $10,000 USD in cash. An additional $15,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded throughout the race.
The event will start at the Puerto Vallarta Sports Stadium and end at La Iguana in Old Town, where there will be a huge party and the cash awards will be given. The public is invited to this party where you'll enjoy dancing and good times together with representatives from EXA 99.9 radio and Corona.
The April 3rd Big Dog Treasure Hunt is the first of three events scheduled to take place this year. Open to 150 teams of 4 people who are full and part-time local residents only, this first event is a great way for locals to network and make new friends, while enjoying a day of fun, excitement and challenge.

The Second event will be held in June, and the Third event is scheduled for September. Both of these Big Dog Treasure Hunts will be open to 500 teams of two visitors/tourists who will be competing for cash awards of more than $100,000 USD.
