When Irish Eyes are Smiling...

Several hundred people gathered at Shamrocks in Bucerias on March 17 for a Saint Paddy's Day celebration - Vallarta style! (PromoVision)
Every year on March 17th, Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated worldwide by the those of Irish descent and increasingly by non-Irish people - even here in Mexico! Celebrations are generally themed around all things Irish and, by association, the color green.

Both Christians and non-Christians celebrate the secular version of the holiday by wearing green, eating Irish food and/or green foods, imbibing Irish drink (such as Irish stout, especially Guinness, Irish Whiskey or Irish Cream) and attending parties!

And speaking of parties, several hundred people gathered at Shamrocks in Bucerias on March 17 for a Saint Paddy's Day celebration where they enjoyed some special "green gelly" shots, and some Guinness, of course, while dancing in their green hats and t-shirts to a live band brought in directly from Ireland for the occasion.
