CONCACAF Beach Soccer in Puerto Vallarta PVNN
For a second successive time the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier CONCACAF will be held on the shores of picturesque Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. This year's tournament takes place at the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Stadium in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from June 17-21, 2009. Admission is free.
An historical 6 nation line-up will there meet to conquer the two berths at stake at the Unidad Deportivo Agustín Flores, that lead to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2009 to be held in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from November 16-22.
The United States will open the tournament on Wednesday, June 17 against the Bahamas in Group B at 5 pm, with host Mexico facing Canada in Group A in the second game of a doubleheader, which starts at 6:15 pm.
Costa Rica in Group B and El Salvador in Group A will begin play the following day, with round-robin play concluding on Friday before the semifinals and finals on Saturday and Sunday.
The Bahamas will be making its debut in the CONCACAF championship while Canada is returning after a two-year absence.
