| Looking out over La Palapa Restaurant's rooftop at the waves crashing over Los Muertos Beach Pier during Hurricane Kenna on October 25th, 2002. | | The U.S. Consular Agency of Puerto Vallarta extends a cordial invitation to American Citizens (residents and visitors) in the Municipalities of Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco and Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit; to a Town Meeting with Mexican Civil Protection Authorities, to discuss ways to be prepared for a natural disaster (hurricane, earthquake, etc...), where to monitor the progress of a storm, and what to do, before, during and after a storm and where to call and what to do in the event of an emergency.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 30, 2009
TIME: 11:00 A.M. – Jalisco time
WHERE: Paradise Plaza – Local L-7, Nuevo Vallarta
WHY: TO give the opportunity to the community to meet the Civil Protection authorities, and receive information on what they do to prepare for a hurricane and what you should be do.
Civil Protection Authorities invited are:
• Jalisco State, PV Municipality, PV Fire Department
• Nayarit State, Bahia De Banderas Municipality, BdeB Fire Dept.
