World Tourism Day Food Fare

Since 1980, the United Nations World Tourism Organization has celebrated World Tourism Day on September 27 to raise awareness on the role of tourism within the international community and to demonstrate how it affects social, cultural, political and economic values worldwide.
This year's theme is "Celebrating Diversity," and since the restaurants around Banderas Bay offer a wide variety of the world's most sensational cuisines, as part of the city's World Tourism Day celebrations more than 20 Puerto Vallarta restaurants will be offering samples of their most popular dishes at the Presidencia Municipal this Sunday.

HOW IT WORKS: Participants will purchase festival tickets at City Hall on the day of the event. The festival tickets are your currency for the evening. One festival ticket equals $10 pesos. Use your festival tickets to experience all the food sampling from area restaurants, food establishments, beverages, wine and tequila tastings that fit your budget for the day. One food sampling equals one festival ticket.
In addition to tantalizing treats from many of the best restaurants in town, there will also be live Mariachi Music to entertain you, so come on out and savor the flavors of Mexico - and the world - at City Hall in downtown Puerto Vallarta on Sunday, September 27th starting at 7 pm.
