2009 Puerto Vallarta Half Marathon and 5k

The Puerto Vallarta International 5K and Half Marathon 2009, will be held Sunday, November 8th. The half marathon will start at 6:50 am and the 5k will start a 7 am. The Start and Finish lines will be at the Municipal Stadium.
Total Prize money will be $250,000 pesos. Prizes will be awarded after the completion of the race, at approximately 11 am in the Municipal Stadium. Registration must be completed no later than Saturday, November 7th, 2009. You may register at active.com or during the Expo Health 2009 at the Municipal Stadium near the Sheraton Hotel. Entry fee is $30 USD per person.
As part of the 2009 Puerto Vallarta International Half Marathon and 5k, there will also be a special Run for Kids from 9 to 11 am. Children who wish to participate should sign in at the entrance of the Unidad Deportiva Municipal Agustín Flores Contreras (near by the Sheraton Hotel) at least 30 minutes prior to the race.
The entry fee is $50 pesos per child and this amount will be donated to Casa Infantil Mojoneras (Children House of Mojoneras). Each child will be provided by the official T-shirt to participate in the run (sponsored by LALA group) and also they will be invited to the very interesting chat that LALA Group will bring to them in their Huge plastic bubble with multimedia projection about how important nutrition is in our lives.
All the kids will be winners and receive a medal (60 places) for participating. There will also be prizes and raffles that were donated from some Amazing local sponsors. Of course the most important prize is to introduce your family to daily exercise and also to open their hearts to helping others everyday.
