A long-awaited inquiry into Britain's role in the Iraq war will begin in London on Tuesday Military chiefs, diplomats and government ministers are all expected to testify. Proceedings are expected to culminate with Tony Blair, the former UK prime minister, taking the stand.
The inquiry's chairman has said he is confident of producing a "full and insightful" account of the decision-making process, which took Britain into the conflict. Tim Friend reports.
