Mexico - Riviera Nayarit looks to 2010 and beyond with anticipation as several hotel properties complete construction and several more break ground. Investor confidence in the destination has brought over $6 million USD, solidifying the tourism potential of this extraordinary destination. Eager to leave behind a difficult 2009, Riviera Nayarit has its eyes set on nothing less than a successful 2010 as a destination that is booming with development sure to reinvigorate the region’s tourism.
Riviera Nayarit will welcome an additional 230 more rooms in 2010 and several hotel properties will continue construction for an expected 2011-2012 opening date.

Looking beyond 2010, the following hotel properties are slated to open between 2011-2013:
• The Fairmont Rancho Banderas, located in Playa Distiladeras, will expand by 60 suites that will be built from 2010 to 2013. The property currently offers 41 one-, two- and three bedrooms suites.
• Tortugas in Punta Raza, a small intimate boutique property, will start construction of 32 suites and half are planned on being completed in 2010.
• The Grand Bliss in Nuevo Vallarta will offer 192 units and is planned to open 2011.
• The Grand Hyatt in Punta Raza will open its first hotel property with 400 units in 2012.
