Media coverage brings call for indictment to the fore
When Ramsey Clark made an impassioned call for Eric Holder to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate and indict George W. Bush and Dick Cheney, the crowd of 10,000 people assembled in front of the White House on March 20 roared their approval.

The message of the IndictBushNow movement resonated through the streets of the capital Saturday in an amazing act of grassroots democracy.

As the crowd marched to the the offices of Halliburton, the grieving and angry parents of soldiers and marines who had lost their lives in Iraq denounced Dick Cheney as a war criminal. Families were crying and demanding that the government hold these criminals accountable for their lies.

The action received widespread media coverage, which led to thousands more people signing the petition at the IndictBushNow web site.

Hundreds of media outlets and newspapers picked up the story. The AP headline included: 'Indict Bush' signs in D.C. protest on Iraq war anniversary" and that story was carried in the media throughout the world.

In a major story on the third page of its Sunday edition, the Washington Post carried a picture prominently showing IndictBushNow signs under the headline: "D.C. antiwar march draws thousands on seventh anniversary of Iraq invasion."

IndictBushNow supporters everywhere should be proud of what we accomplished this weekend. Our movement came out in force in defense of the Constitution. We came out to raise the banners of justice and accountability. And, as the AP story shows, we once again brought the demand for indictment to the fore.

Our sincere appreciation goes out to all the committed volunteers who spread the word through flyers and posters, organized transportation, made placards and so much more. This would not be possible without the financial contributions of our supporters. Help us keep building the momentum of our movement. To donate, click here.

The mobilization this past Saturday was a major shot in the arm for our movement. Let's build on that momentum in the weeks ahead!
