Been to the Old Town Farmers' Market Yet? Rick Hepting - PVScene.com April 08, 2010
| Vallarta's Old Town Farmers' Market is open every Saturday, rain or shine, from 10 am to 1 pm. (photos by Sarah Hepting, PVScene.com) | | Homemade bread and pickles, herbs, hard-to-find specialty and deli meats, local coffee, ready-to-eat foods, rare and strange tropical fruits for the sampling... Where else can you find all of this but at the Puerto Vallarta Old Town Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings from 10 am to 1 pm?
Each week there is something new: new products, new vendors, new friends, and more varied food stalls are being added weekly as word gets around.
New produce vendors have signed up, and the vendors who braved Opening Week will definitely be bringing more items to sell since most of the popular items sold out. This market will be getting better each Saturday as we learn what the public wants and needs, so be sure to suggest to the vendors and the management items you would like to see or buy.
Remember: The Old Town Farmers Market is every Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm at the New Paradise Community Center on Pulpito, between Amapas and Olas Altas. It’s a great way to spend the morning. The variety and quality is second to none and the vendors are friendly and helpful. Come and meet the people who make and/or grow the food you like to eat. This market is for locals and it’s for tourists; it’s for everyone who appreciates good food and a good time.
