GAP Reports 36.9% Rise in First Quarter Income Comtex go to original May 02, 2010
Mexican airport operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB de CV (GAP announced on Wednesday that its net income for the first quarter of 2010 rose by 36.9%, or MXN149.7m, compared to the same period of last year.
According to GAP this improvement was mainly due to greater inflation in the first quarter of 2010, which caused a MXN175.1m drop in income taxes for the period compared to the first quarter of 2009.
Revenues for the quarter increased by 5.7%, or MXN51.0m, compared to the first quarter of 2009, primarily due to a 9.1% rise in revenues from aeronautical services.
GAP operates 12 airports in the Pacific region: Guadalajara, Tijuana, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, La Paz, Manzanillo, Hermosillo, Guanajuato, Morelia, Aguascalientes, Mexicali and Los Mochis.
