SRE Condemns Death of Mexican Citizen Anastasio Hernández Rojas

Mexico City - The Foreign Affairs Secretariat (SRE) deeply regrets the death of Mexican citizen Anastasio Hernández Rojas, which occurred this afternoon in San Diego, California and sent its deepest condolences to the victim’s family.
The Foreign Affairs Secretary expressed its indignation and strongly condemned the events that led to the death of Mr. Hernández Rojas.
Through the Mexican Consulate of San Diego, the Foreign Affairs Secretary will continue providing the necessary support for this Mexican citizen’s family, including legal advice, to determine the legal avenues that will clarify the causes of this tragic loss and establish responsibilities according to the law.
The Mexican Government has requested an exhaustive investigation of the facts from US authorities and will closely supervise its development.
