President Calderón to Attend Opening Ceremony of World Cup in South Africa

The Presidency reports that in response to an invitation by South African President Jacob Zuma, President Felipe Calderón, together with President of the International Association Football Federation Joseph S. Blatter and Secretary General of the United Nations Organization, Ban Ki-Moon, will attend the World Championship Opening Ceremony, to be held on June 11 in that country and witness the opening game between the Mexican and South African teams.
President Calderón will also attend a bilateral meeting with his South African counterpart, the first the Mexican President will attend in South Africa, with the aim of constructing a priority relationship to boost and enhance the various spheres of interest between the two countries.
