President Receives Toluca Football Champions Suzanne Stephens Waller - Presidencia de la República go to original July 17, 2010
| (Presidencia de la República) | | Mexico City - President Felipe Calderón received the Toluca football team, the champions of the 2010 Bicentennial Tournament, in Los Pinos.
“Toluca is a team that scored 10 out of 10, as we say here. It won the championship in 2010. It has already won 10 championships, seven in recent tournaments, reflecting the enormous power this team has developed.
It has also been been led by an administration that scored 10 out of 10, such as the one currently led by Valentín Díez Morodo and previously by don Nemesio Dìez, may he rest in peace,” he said.
Accompanied by his wife, Margarita Zavala, the President said that Toluca's success is due to the team's discipline, coordination and unity.
“That's easier said than done. And in fact, Deportivo Toluca has already been registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the professional football team with the most continuous and stable team of directors. I think that reflects the team’s professionalism,” he said.
