Mexico Organized-Crime Deaths Reach Almost 25,000 Since '06, Official Says

Mexico has reported 24,826 deaths related to organized crime since President Felipe Calderon took office in December 2006, Attorney General Arturo Chavez Chavez said.

The country has had 7,048 such deaths so far this year, Chavez said at an event in Mexico City.
