Andrea Carneiro Named Director of Sales & Marketing of Grand Velas Resort Riviera Nayarit

Nuevo Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, Mexico - Andrea Carneiro has been named as the new Director of Sales and Marketing of Grand Velas All Suites and SPA Resort Riviera Nayarit, a member of The Leading Hotels of The World and recipient of the coveted AAA Five Diamond Award. Ms. Carneiro brings more than 15 years experience in the hospitality industry and will oversee all of the resort’s sales activities and marketing strategies.
Prior to joining Grand Velas, Ms. Carneiro worked as Director of Sales for the Four Seasons Resort in Punta Mita where she was responsible for national and international market trends and developed all of the resort’s sales strategies. Ms. Carneiro’s experience also includes working at Marriott CasaMagna Resorts initially on the Groups and Convention department and then as Senior Group Sales Manager at Marriott CasaMagna Puerto Vallarta Resort & Spa. She oversaw the annual sales plan, developed sales accounts and assisted the sales team to achieve their results. She also held the position of Assistant Director of Groups and Conventions at Marriott CasaMagna Cancun Resort.
Originally from Brazil, Carneiro studied Administration at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and attended the Business School ESC PAU in France before graduating from Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland. After spending 11 years in Mexico, Carneiro has recently received the Mexican nationality. She is fluent in Spanish, English, French, Italian, and her native language Portuguese.
