Flooding in Mexico has caused around 7,000 people to evacuate 200 different town and 12 townships in Tabasco. There has been a state of emergency declared.
Tabasco authorities are evacuating about 7,000 people, because of the increasing flood waters. Officials are preparing to build channels to prevent further flooding.
There has been weeks of raining that has caused rivers to overflow and damage homes and croplands. So far, the flooding has affected more than 60,000 people in 200 towns. The dams are even starting to overflow.
There has been a state of emergency declared for 12 low-laying Tabasco townships.
The authorities plan to dig relief ditches through less populated areas and evacuations are still going on today.
