Many villages throughout the Bay of Banderas region have experienced weeks of torrential rains, resulting in flooding and the loss of homes for some families as well as severe damage to many homes, businesses, schools, roads and small communities. In response to these events, local non-profit PEACE stepped forward to organize volunteers and lend a helping hand.

On September 10th, PEACE sent out their first request for help - donations of dry and canned goods, clothing - for the people living in small communities around the Bay of Banderas who had nothing as a result of the recent flooding rivers, mudslides, collapsed bridges and impassable roads.

Your response was immediate, and your generosity helped feed and clothe families that were in desperate need of assistance. Thank you all from all of the organizations that put every donated item to use in the five communities that needed them most.

Three times overflowing boxes were picked up from the Vallarta Yacht Club and brought to PEACE. We received food, clothing, and several monetary donations from people in the US that couldn't be here. There is still one more pick-up to distribute even more, the box is almost full once again.

This weekend, Saturday, September 25th, will be the end of the donation campaign for Banderas Bay area flood victims organized by local non-profit PEACE. However, we will keep the box at the Vallarta Yacht Club until September 30th for last minute donations.

You helped your neighbors in need, and demonstrated we all can work together regardless of nationality or where we live.
