An initial investment of $40 million pesos has been made to relocate Puerto Vallarta's City Hall to the Portales neighborhood. (VirtualVallarta.com)
Puerto Vallarta Mayor Salvador Gonzalez Resendiz and Jalisco Tourism Secretary Aurelio López Rocha recently laid the first stone for the city's new administrative offices. An initial investment of $40 million pesos has been made to relocate City Hall to the Portales neighborhood, in an attempt to diminish vehicular traffic in the downtown area.

Moving the city hall offices out of the Plaza Principal will also make way for a new attraction for locals and visitors, the new Municipal Art Museum, which city officials hope will enhance Puerto Vallarta’s cultural appeal.
