Playing as the 'Dolphins of Puerto Vallarta,' the Saltillo Saraperos baseball team will represent our city in a game to be played on Wednesday, October 20th at 8:15 pm at the Agustín Flores Contreras Sports Stadium. The people of Puerto Vallarta are known for their love of baseball, so the game is expected to be a sell-out.

Saraperos manager Carlos Esqueda expects that the team will play an outstanding role in the beginning of the winter baseball season, as they are feared by their rivals for having won nine championships out of twelve disputed finals last season.

Some of the team's top players reached the bi-championship of the Mexican Baseball League. With short stop Carlos González and center fielder Bernardo López, as well as pitcher José "The Whip" López, Luis Martínez, Efraín Narváez and Genaro Andrade playing, this will definitely be the best baseball season that Puerto Vallarta has ever seen - and the beginning of a new partnership between local teams.
