City officials hope that the Puerto Vallarta competitions, which will be held on the beach at Playa del Holi, will bring prosperity to our destination. The Pan American Gamers organizing committee specifically states that beach volleyball cannot be played in artificial courts.
Public admission is free with the goal of promoting the sport among young people. Participating countries include Canada, United States, Cuba, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and, of course, Mexico. The competition results will also be valid for the 2012 London Olympics.
