Mexico Offers Reward in Case of Missing Children

Mexico City — Mexico's attorney general is offering $1.2 million for information on 14 children who disappeared from orphanages in 2009, the presumed victims of a child-trafficking ring.
The office also is promising a $400,000 reward for information on three people wanted in the "Casitas del Sur" case. The case, which drew wide publicity in Mexico, is named for the Mexico City orphanage where seven of the children disappeared.
Seven other children disappeared from group homes in Nuevo Leon and Quintana Roo states.
Police investigating the case previously arrested a church pastor and another man who was apprehended in Spain.
The rewards were announced in an attorney general's statement published Friday.
