| Parque Paraje del Sur is a work involving the restoration of public space that will benefit just over five thousand inhabitants. | | Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua - During the Inauguration of Parque Paraje del Sur, one of the 20 areas in Ciudad Juárez rehabilitated since 2007, President Felipe Calderón said that the three orders of government act within the same civic mandate of combating crime by every possible means.
He added that one of the social actions proposed was to complement the fight for security through operative and police actions, justice, and social, preventive actions designed to restore, in the long term, "but in a permanent fashion, the peace of mind and strength of Juárez society.”
"I trust that we will be able to meet this commitment of combining efforts, coordinating actions and sharing responsibilities," he added.
Accompanied by the national football team and players from the local team, Los Indios de Juárez, he said that rescuing the city not only requires coordinated work by Federal Government, state and municipal government but above all, "a strong, participatory society."
Parque Paraje del Sur is a work involving the restoration of public space that will benefit just over five thousand inhabitants. It is equipped with a multi-purpose field, a five-a-side football pitch with artificial grass, an extreme sports field, an area with children’s games, a covered square, walkways, green areas and lighting, and urban equipment such as trash cans, benches and chain link fences to protect the pitches.
