National Human Rights Prize 2010 Awarded to Isabel Miranda de Wallace Suzanne Stephens Waller - Presidencia de la República go to original December 17, 2010
Mexico City - Wednesday, President Felipe Calderón led the National Human Rights Prize Award Ceremony 2010, held in the Adolfo López Mateos Hall of the official Los Pinos residence.
In this edition, the National Human Rights Prize was awarded to the president of the “Stop Kidnapping” Association, María Isabel Miranda de Wallace, who has a solid background in the promotion and defense of the human rights of kidnapping victims.
The National Human Rights Award is a prize given by Mexican society through the autonomous, constitutional human rights organization to persons who have played a key role in the effective promotion and defense of human rights, annually awarded by the President and the Head of the National Human Rights Commission.
