Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Salvador González Reséndiz is supervising the construction of the Libramiento’s Second Tunnel and has restated City Hall's intention to move forward with the project.

Both Mayor Salvador González Reséndiz and Ing. Victor Fernández, Director of Public Works, recently did a walk-through along the space currently being constructed for the Libramiento’s Second Tunnel.

At this point in time, multiple steel tubes covering the tunnel are being set in place.

All parties involved are working carefully in an effort to protect the general population, the workers themselves and the machinery. They are also working on the left hand side of the south end of Libramiento freeway, creating an opening in the hillside to add two new lanes.

As of now, cylindrical mesh, covered with layers of cement are being placed accordingly to avoid any mud slides, especially during this rainy season.
