Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Monday morning was notable due to Puerto Vallarta’s Malecón removing its facelift’s first bandages... so to speak.
City workers removed the protective mesh from the downtown area’s first two blocks, allowing new access to pedestrians.
Puerto Vallarta Mayor Salvador González Reséndiz was present at the re-opening of this section that spans 120 meters, starting from 31 de Octubre down to Pípila street.
Joined by Councilwoman Gloria Palacios and city officials, the Mayor inspected the work completed and congratulated the parties involved for meeting the intended deadline. He took a moment to walk along the newly built pathway and presided over the intersections’ construction.
With construction remaining on schedule, unveiling the next three blocks is foreseen to take place within the next three weeks. The rest of this Vallarta icon is intended to be completed and unveiled by October.
