Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Lucía Silva González was crowned Miss Jalisco 2011 last week, after recording the highest number of points in the various parts of the competition.
Lucía is a 5' 9" tall 20 year old who has lived in Puerto Vallarta for the last 15 years. She captivated the jury not only by her beauty, but also with her stage presence and the answers she gave to the various questions posed to her.
Jalisco State Governor Emilio Gonzalez Marquez, who attended the event organized by Televisa de Occidente, expressed his satisfaction at the judges’ decision.
Beautiful Lucia will represent the State of Jalisco at the semi-finals and finals of the Miss Mexico beauty pageant, Nuestra Belleza 2011, which will be held in Puerto Vallarta on August 18th to 20th.
Jalisco finalists have been crowned every one of the last three years, including the reigning Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete. The event will consist of three stages beginning in Mexico City on July 22, where contestants will concentrate on their presentations, prior to moving on to Puerto Vallarta for the second stage, which includes the bathing suit, cocktail gown and typical costume runway competitions.
On August 20th, the third and final stage will take place: bathing suits, gala dress and communication, which will determine the 15 finalists (of 34 contestants) and eventually, the winner, who will represent Mexico at the Miss Universe 2012 contest.
