July 19, 2011

La Penita, Nayarit, Mexico - New RV travelers to Mexico will now get a chance to drive with experienced RV’ers south of the border without spending thousands of dollars on the services of professional caravans.

Bill and Dorothy Bell, who have extensively traveled to over 400 RV and camping locations throughout Mexico and have the largest website on camping in Mexico, ontheroadin.com, will lead the caravan starting in late October of 2011 from Ajo, Arizona to La Peņita, Nayarit, Mexico.

The Bell family has been traveling by RV to Mexico since 1988, and they invite you to join their 2011 caravan to La Peņita RV Park. This year, Bill and Dorothy are changing things slightly. The caravan is going to meet in Ajo, Arizona October 26th and will cross the border at Lukeville on October 27, 2011, with the Bells leading the way.

The caravan will make its way down to La Peņita to arrive there November 1, staying in various RV Parks along the way. Each individual is responsible for Tolls, park fees and fuel, insurance, etc.

La Peņita is one of the best RV Parks in Mexico. It is one, if not the most, active parks in terms of events and activities. Situated on a bluff over overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the views are considered magnificent.

Once you arrive in La Peņita, be prepared to spend a great month or winter. The town of La Peņita is on the Pacific, less than an hour drive from Puerto Vallarta and just North across the river from Rincon de Guayabitos.

La Peņita RV Park is situated on a small hill and only a few hundred feet from the water’s edge. It has 110 full hookups as well as lots of tent spots. It also boasts excellent drinking water at no additional cost, and offers all the extras such as pool, hot tub, wireless Internet and cable or satellite TV. Reasonably priced at $600 USD per month, it is open from November 1st to May 1st.

The weather is fantastic and the people lack the pretentious airs found in many resort communities. You will find lots to do and see in the park and the area. There are many planned activities and you can do as much or as little as you would like.

The Bell's goal is to get you there safely, introduce you to driving in Mexico and crossing the border. With their tips and combined years of driving in Mexico (over 30 years) they can give you tips and information it would take years to acquire.

Although the caravan portion of the trip is free, those wishing to participate MUST guarantee a month stay at the La Peņita RV Park the month of November ($600 USD). Participants are also require to purchase a Road Log from ontheroadin.com, and a map or map book. Family radios are also essential.

RV travel is one of the fastest-growing recreational activities in North America, and in Mexico, RVers are discovering that they can realize the wonders of Mexico for a fraction of the cost of resorts.

There is still lots of space to join the Bell's 2011 caravan, so visit ontheroadin.com for more information. To learn more about the RV Park in La Peņita, please visit lapenitarvpark.com or send an email to info(at)lapenitarvpark.com.
