Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta’s transformation is well on its way, most recently with the announcement of renovations being made to the city’s popular Rio Cuale Market.
After over 30 years of playing an important role in Puerto Vallarta’s allure, the Rio Cuale Market will soon sport a new image, one that encompasses improvements made to its main entrances and sidewalks.
The goal is to create a new and fresh image of the crafts market. Similar to the public work being done to the iconic Malecón, the market’s sidewalks will be widened to allow an easier flow of foot traffic in the area and the ficus trees will be replaced by strong, healthy palm trees.
Likewise, the various stands and independent stores will be re-adjusted to allow more favorable illumination: natural light. Replacing the roof tiles is also being considered as part of this new project. The idea is to build up Puerto Vallarta’s infrastructure and place the city in a more positive light amongst its visitors and residents alike.
