Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - One of Salvador González Reséndiz’s main objectives as Mayor of Puerto Vallarta has become supporting public renovations and fulfilling his commitment to improving living conditions for all Vallarta residents.

City Hall will be funding “Habitat 2011,” a federal program that aims to create large-scale infrastructure and social development.

The cost of these public renovations was to be split three ways between the Federal (50%), State (25%) and City (25%) Governments. In this case however, the State will only fund a portion of its agreed percentage, whilst the City of Puerto Vallarta will absorb its balance along with that remaining from the State.

All in all, the Federal Government, with the help of the Department of Social Development (Sedesol), will fund a total of $6 million 500 thousand pesos, the City will fund $5 million 900 thousand pesos, and the State will round it out with 600 thousand pesos.
