Vallarta Welcomes Dutch Travel Agents & Journalists

More than 200 Dutch travel agents and journalists arrived on Thursday from Amsterdam aboard the new Arkefly flight that began operations on November 7, linking the Dutch city to Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - With Mariachi music and warm greetings, Municipal President Salvador González Resendiz, along with Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit municipal authorities and tourism representatives, welcomed the more than 200 Dutch travel agents and journalists who arrived on Thursday from Amsterdam aboard the new Arkefly flight that began operations on November 7th, linking the Dutch city to Puerto Vallarta.

In the coming days, these distinguished visitors will be touring the Banderas Bay region to become familiar with the destination's main attractions and the benefits that this part of Mexico offers to the European tourist industry, a market that is distinguished by its interest in culture, traditions and gastronomy. This visit's main order of business is to consolidate efforts to entice this valuable tourism niche to frequent the Banderas Bay region.

Con música de Mariachi y un caluroso recibimiento, el Presidente Municipal, Salvador González Resendiz, autoridades y representantes turísticos de Puerto Vallarta y la Riviera Nayarit, dieron la bienvenida a los poco más de 200 agentes de viaje y prensa especializada que arribaron al medio día de este jueves, procedentes de Ámsterdam, Holanda, a través de la aerolínea Arkefly que inicio operaciones el pasado lunes, enlazando a esa ciudad holandesa con Puerto Vallarta.

En los próximos días, estos distinguidos visitantes estarán recorriendo el destino, así como el resto de la región, para conocer sus principales atractivos y las bondades que esta zona del país ofrece al turismo europeo, un mercado que se distingue por su interés en la cultura, las tradiciones y la gastronomía; este visita tiene como principal fin consolidar este valioso nicho de turismo en la bahía.
