Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Commodore Dan Green and the Board of Directors of the Vallarta Yacht Club took great pleasure in presenting checks in the amount of $34,215 pesos each to the two charities selected as recipients of the net proceeds of the 12th Annual Great Chili Cook-Off, held on December 3, 2011.
Checks presented to Families at the Dump representative Winnie Giesbrecht and PEACE representative Gaby Roman were the largest amounts ever raised by the annual charity event.
The Yacht Club and the coordinating staff wishes to thank all of the cookers, volunteers, and members of the community who came out and supported the event with their presence and kind generosity.
