Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Mayor, Salvador Gonzalez Resendiz, has good news for athletes and residents of the delegation of Ixtapa, where he is implementing the remodeling of the community's sports facility.
In his message, the Mayor said, "Today we come to retrieve a public space and give it life, where residents of Ixtapa can have fun and play sports. The land was obtained almost five years ago by a previous administration which built these two multipurpose courts. However, they do not have water or light, and the bathrooms have been forgotten."
On behalf of the people of Ixtapa, delegate Villarreal Juan Gabriel Toribio thanked the Mayor for supporting this work, "This is a project that had been left abandoned. And today, the mayor is continuing with this great work to promote sport in Ixtapa."
The project includes the remodeling of two football fields, a basketball court, lighting, remodeled bathrooms, a well water irrigation system, graveling the parking spaces, and green spaces that will give life to the sports center.
Witnessing the beginning of this project were the Director of Public Works, Victor Hugo Fernandez Flores; Deputy Director of Municipal Utilities, Ramon Fregos; and the Head of Citizen Participation, Eliseo Castillo Aréchiga, as well as young athletes and those in charge of the work.
