Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Mayor, Salvador Gonzalez Resendiz, announced that he will head a delegation from Puerto Vallarta attending one of the major tourist events of the year.
The delegation will represent Puerto Vallarta at the International Tourism Fair (Fitur) 2012 to be held in Madrid, Spain, which is one of the most important tourism events in the world. In addition to the Mayor, the Governor of Jalisco and the Secretary of Tourism will lead the promotion of Puerto Vallarta.
During the Mayor's absence, the municipal administration will be in charge, in particular the trustee, attorney Fernando Rubio Castro.
According to data from the organizing committee, in this edition of Fitur 2012 there will be 9,500 exhibitors from 167 countries as well as a large number of professional tourists, visitors and journalists.
