Aliso Viejo, California - California-based information technology company UST Global recently announced that, "through an 'exclusive' partnership with former Mexican President Vincente Fox and his Guanajuato-based leadership training center Centro Fox," it would set up two facilities in Mexico.
Fox, who was present at the announcement, said UST Global’s knowledge capital in information technology (IT) and allied services would "play a big role in strengthening Mexico’s economy, creating more jobs, and reducing poverty."
"Through this new initiative, we expect to strengthen the Indo-Mexico synergy. This is going to improve the human capital in my country, as we are now looking to change our economy into a knowledge society too," Fox, told reporters.
Sajan Pillai, CEO of UST Global, said that in three years’ time they would set up a services and solutions center in Leon, Mexico for around 10,000 professionals. Also, a center to train college students is also coming up in Mexico, he said.
"Mexico is a leading engine moving the world economy together with India and China," Fox said. He also referred to his country's presence in technology manufacturing, time zone, and proximity to prime markets such as the United States.
Besides the US, UST Global currently operates out of Britain, Malaysia, India, Philippines, and Singapore.
