New York - Members of the Society of American Travel Writers' Canadian Chapter will be traveling to Puerto Vallarta this fall as the destination hosts the chapter's first meeting in Latin America from October 16th-21st. The meeting will feature an official chapter meeting, training and networking sessions, special tours, and a scavenger hunt.
SATW members will experience Puerto Vallarta's diverse and unique tourism offerings, which include adventure, gastronomy, romance, ecotourism, luxury and spa options. Moreover, the five day international conference will feature a variety of activities ranging from Chocolate and Tequila tastings to swimming with dolphins.
To conclude the conference, Puerto Vallarta has prepared tailor made experiences with in-depth itineraries that are not regularly offered to the public, as well as excursions to the nearby town of Costalegre and The Tequila Trail in Guadalajara.
There will also be a training session led by published author and Okanagan Life magazine senior editor Laurie Carter, a Marketplace with local DMC's and sponsors, as well as an official SATW Chapter meeting.
Sponsors Velas Vallarta, Marriott and Westin will provide the lodging as La Leche, Café Des Artistes and El Arrayán will host a "Dine Around Extravaganza." AeroMexico Airlines will be the preferred airline. Now in its 13th annual edition, the SATW Canadian Chapter meeting has previously met in Prague, Egypt, and Louisiana among other locations.
