Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - On Friday, November 2nd from 5-7 pm, a memorial for 'Vallarta Today' newspaper editor, Wayne McLeod, who passed away late Sunday morning at Medasist Hospital after losing his battle with lung cancer, will be held at Nacho Daddy Restaurant, Basilio Badillo #180 on the South side of Vallarta.

Wayne's mom, Gloria, is only here for a week. She wants to have a memorial for Wayne before she returns to Canada. We have really gotten to know Gloria this week and she is a remarkable woman - which comes as no surprise!

Gloria wants the memorial to be celebratory and fun. She would like people to step up and share their favorite moments with Wayne, their most humorous moments, etc. She expressly stated that she does not want the memorial to be doom and gloom, but rather a celebration of Wayne's life and his wonderful character and personality.

Gloria is also insisting on treating everyone to one drink. Beyond that, you can put some pesos into the deserving pockets of Nacho Daddy. There might be some chips, etc., but no real food, unless you'd like to order something.

Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Wayne is encouraged to join us at Nacho Daddy this coming Friday, November 2, from 5 pm to 7 pm, as we pay tribute to this remarkable man who contributed so much to our community. Please help spread the word!
