The 38th Edition of the Tianguis Turistico Mexico will be held March 17 to March 20, 2013 at the Exhibition Center in the city of Puebla. Puebla is the first colonial and cultural city in Mexico to receive Tianguis Turistico.
Tianguis is Mexico’s largest tourism trade show and leading business platform for the tourism industry in the country attended by travel industry experts, travel agents, travel writers, and press along with Mexico tourism officials. Representatives from more than 33 countries are expected to attend.
Held last year in Puerto Vallarta, breaking the long-standing tradition of the tourism show being hosted in Acapulco, the event's logo will remain the same. It contains the five segments Mexico is seeking to promote at a domestic and international level: cultural, tourism, adventure tourism, luxury tourism, and business tourism, as well as beach tourism.
Governor of Puebla, Rafael Moreno Valle, said that Puebla will be a proud host of the Tianguis Turistico Mexico, an event that will help further Mexico’s image all over the world. As part of the preparations for the Tianguis’ activities, the Government explained that the city has invested more than 300 million pesos in infrastructure.
This has enabled the rescue of the urban image of the area where the forts are located, the paving of the 5 de Mayo Boulevards, as well as the construction of the city’s cable car, which will link the Convention Center with the Exhibition Center, among other major construction works.
It was reported that the Tianguis Turistico Mexico 2013 is expected to be inaugurated on Sunday, March 17th by Enrique Peña Nieto, in his capacity as the Constitutional President of Mexico. For more information on Tianguis Turistico Mexico 2013, visit: TianguisTuristicoMexico.com.
