Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The Tourism Board of Mexico (CPTM) is on the verge of signing a contract with international musician Carlos Santana, who will promote the Vallarta-Nayarit region as its tourism ambassador as part of the $10 million USD joint promotion campaign that was initiated earlier this year.
CPTM representatives expect to sign the contract with Santana in the coming days, after the 66 year old musician, born in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, releases his new album, so it's just a matter of coordinating agendas before arrangements are made for the document to be signed.
It should be noted that, during his most recent visit to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco Secretary of Tourism Enrique Ramos Flores said that this campaign is part of the promotional program that was established for the United States and Canada, which is progressing very well.
He reported that there are more interesting promotional activities to come, and even said he was about to close a very important contract with another singer (musician) of international stature to further promote the Vallarta-Nayarit region.
The Tourism Secretary said that, so far, the efforts being made to promote the Vallarta-Nayarit region have shown pretty good results and that they will keep getting better as we move into the end of the year and the beginning of the winter season.
