Mexico City, Mexico - Josselyn Garciglia Bañuelos, who represented the state of Baja California Sur, won the 2013 Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant held in Toluca, Mexico on October 19, 2013. Thirty-three contestants competed for the national title, but it is Josselyn Garciglia who took the crown and will represent the country in the Miss Universe 2014 contest.

Garciglia Bañuelos is the first Sudcaliforniana to win this title. The 22-year-old was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza México titleholder Cynthia Duque.

Beauty queens from the states of Aguascalientes, Chihuahua, Jalisco and Sonora were among the finalists at the 2013 Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant.

Jalisco's Nereyda Sánchez also won the "Miss Top Model" title, as well as the "Best Costume" award. In this competition the contestants were not evaluated, only the colorful and fascinating costumes made by Mexican designers. For the Nuestra Belleza México Organization this event is very important because it discloses the creative work of the great Mexican designers and also elects the costume to represent Mexico in next year's Miss Universe and other beauty contests.

The Nuestra Belleza Mundo México title was won by Daniela Álvarez from Morelos, who will compete in the 2014 Miss World contest. Álvarez was crowned by outgoing Nuestra Belleza Mundo México titleholder Marilyn Chagoya. She is the second Morelense to win this title.
