XIX Vallarta Festival Gourmet International

Puerto Vallarta's Festival Gourmet International, an annual food and wine event that has been tempting the tastebuds of Banderas Bay area residents and visitors for years, returns to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit November 14-23, 2013. For those who are familiar with the 10-day event, expect the same spectacular events: the inauguration cocktail to introduce the visiting chefs, the fantastic Sunday brunch with traditional Mariachi and the final gala event topped off with fireworks that light up the night sky. You'll also have the opportunity to attend gourmet cooking demonstrations, to learn the secret to combining beer with cheeses and chocolates, and to explore several restaurants in one night on a Gourmet Safari. But the best part of this 10-day event is that each participating restaurant hosts a guest master chef to create a festival all of its own - and that means you'll have a multitude of unique opportunities to savor inspired world-class menus! Charity BINGO Returns to Nacho Daddy November 13th

Charity Bingo Night returns to Nacho Daddy every other Wednesday at 6:30 pm starting November 13th. This year, the games will benefit Pasitos de Luz, an organization dedicated to serving neurologically handicapped children from economically disadvantaged homes in the Puerto Vallarta area, and the Colina Spay Neuter Clinic, a permanent facility in Old Town/Romantic Zone Puerto Vallarta that provides free and by donation spaying and neutering services for cats and dogs. Each week will feature guest callers, game prizes, and a 50/50 draw. Bingo cards for the night are a bargain at only $50 pesos each, or 3 for $100 pesos. To help round out the night, Nacho Daddy will be offering a variety of food and drink specials from their yummy menu. Come help us support local charities beginning Wednesday, November 13th at Nacho Daddy, located at 287 Basilio Badillo in Old Town.

Vallarta-Nayarit Promoted in New York City

As part of a promotional tour taking place in the United States, representatives from the Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit Tourism Boards showcased our destination, and announced the new Aeromexico and Delta airlines flights scheduled to increase connectivity between New York City and Puerto Vallarta this winter, at a press luncheon in Manhattan this week. Important members of the media attended the luncheon, including reporters from BBC Worldwide, Conde Nast Traveler, Elite Traveler, Fodors.com, ForbesLife & SHAPE, Good Morning America, Meetings Focus, Out Magazine, Shermans Travel, Successful Meetings, Travel+Leisure, Travel Weekly and Vogue.

Fashions 4 Charity at Paradise Community Center

Fashions 4 Charity opens November 1 at Paradise Community Center, 127 Pulpito. Come Tuesday - Sunday 10-2 to shop for previously loved clothing with 50% of the proceeds going to various charitable organizations in Puerto Vallarta! You can also drop off your donations of gently used clothing & accessories for your favorite charity here, as well as at Deja New Consignments, Jacarandas 280. Deja New is also collecting previously loved, name brand purses, satchels and clutches to sell for the SPCA de PV's "Purses 4 PAWS" campaign. All proceeds will go toward the care and support of stray animals in our community. Simply place your donations in a bag, mark it with your full name and "SPCA Puerto Vallarta," then bring it to one of the drop-off locations listed above.
