Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The International Association of Exhibitions and Events, or IAEE, recently selected Patricia Farias Barlow to receive their 2013 Chairperson’s Award, in recognition of her meritorious service.
The IAEE is the largest association of the exhibitions and events industry in the world, including organizers of more than 20,000 exhibitions and buyer-seller events around the world. They focus on education and professional networking.
Patricia has been President and CEO of Puerto Vallarta’s International Convention Center since November of 2011. Under her hard work and dedication, the new IAEE Mexico Chapter launched, and is well on its way to providing valuable education to the exhibition industry in Mexico. The chapter was formed to provide relevant programming and timely education to exhibition organizers and suppliers around Mexico. It will serve as the main voice to communicate the critical issues these professionals face.
Ms. Farias’s leadership has been a sterling example of true volunteer leadership, greatly enhancing IAEE’s relations with industry professionals in Mexico. She earned IAEE’s prestigious Pinnacle Award last year, and will receive the 2013 Chairperson’s Award on stage in Houston, Texas, at Expo! Expo!, the IAEE’s Annual Meeting and Exhibition, today - Thursday, December 12th.
