Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - As every year, Holy Week and Easter increase the influx of domestic and foreign tourists, who are attracted by the natural and cultural benefits that Puerto Vallarta offers visitors.
To ensure the vacationers' stay in our city is pleasant, Tourism Director Gerard Carlos Guzman has increased the number of tourist information booths to six modules, manned by a bilingual staff that provides information about the destination's tours, restaurants, bars, and beaches.
These service points are located in the bus station, the offices of the Vallarta Plus bus line, at Lázaro Cárdenas park, in the hallway outside of City Hall, on the Malecon, and near the Molino de Agua development, the last three of which are staffed year-round to support tourism.
The tourist information booths will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm during the Semana Santa and Pascua holidays. The tourism office at City Hall will also remain open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm throughout the holiday period.
To ensure a safe holiday, the Puerto Vallarta Municipal Civil Protection and Fire Department recommends that visitors take preemptive measures to prevent accidents during their stay in our city. Among the recommendations are to use sunscreen to avoid sunburn, to keep a close eye on children swimming or playing near the water, to stay well hydrated, and to avoid driving if you have consumed alcoholic beverages.
