National Geographic Traveler Features Puerto Vallarta

The Nat Geo journalists took this opportunity to experience some of Vallarta's most unique wildlife adventure tours - from whale watching to exploring the Estero El Salado ecological reserve.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Last February, as part of the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Board's ongoing public relations campaign, a team from National Geographic Traveler Mexico Magazine was invited to explore the destination and its various ecotourism adventures.

As Puerto Vallarta is one of those few places on earth where you can find nature's richness and diversity at its best, the journalists took this opportunity to experience some of the region's most unique wildlife and adventure tours - from whale and tropical bird watching tours to exploring the Vallarta Botanical Gardens and the Estero El Salado ecological reserve.

And, since the comforts of luxury accommodations and amenities coexist seamlessly with the beauty of nature in Puerto Vallarta, the Nat Geo Traveler team enjoyed the perfect combination of luxury, comfort and stunning views of the Sierra Madre mountains and Banderas Bay at The Grand Miramar Panoramic Bay View Hotel in Conchas Chinas.

During their stay, the journalists also sampled some of the delicious cuisine that Puerto Vallarta offers, as in the case of the Grand Miramar's Sky Restaurant and The River Café, who were responsible for delighting their palates with the most exquisite dishes.

As a result of this trip, Puerto Vallarta made the cover of the July/August issue of National Geographic Traveler Mexico Magazine, which featured a 10 page report by Juan Manuel Gómez, who shared his experiences in this ecologically diverse Pacific paradise "where everything happens" with his readers.

National Geographic Traveler magazine is published by Editorial Televisa, which produces articles that showcase the lifestyles, natural wonders and unique beauties of the world's most exotic, unusual and undiscovered places.
