Puerto Vallarta and the Banderas Bay area are known for their vast diversity of birds, both endemic migratory and resident species. At least 30 endemics and up to 400 species can be found in the different habitats and ecosystems in the region. The Vallarta Bird Conservancy's (VBC) mission is to promote the conservation, education and knowledge of tropical and migratory birds in Puerto Vallarta, Banderas Bay and the areas of Cabo Corrientes in Jalisco, Mexico to the benefit of residents and visitors from around the world. To accomplish their mission, the VBC hosts annual Vallarta Bird Festivals in March, Bird Day celebrations in May, and an Audubon Christmas Bird Count, as well as providing conservation education and scholarships, and promoting the interchange of knowledge between countries. Help them accomplish their goals at the first annual Early Birder Breakfast at the River Café on Monday November 17, 2014. Tickets cost just $200 pesos or $150 for students, and are available at the River Cafe or by calling (322) 128-0120 for ticket delivery.
Purr Project Bingo at Playa Los Arcos Hotel
Don't miss Purr Project Bingo on Wednesday, November 19, where you'll hear (and sing along to) Patsy Cline's greatest hits, as sung by local chanteuses Mikki Prost and Polly Stephens Cooper. Our muy excelente prizes include gift certificates to some of Vallarta's best shops and restaurants, bottles of adult beverages, beautiful jewelry, and our famous multiple-pull 50/50 raffle.
