Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel website, just released more results from their 2014 Travelers' Choice Awards, and Puerto Vallarta was ranked #2 in the "Most Popular Destinations in Mexico" category.
This is the third consecutive year that Puerto Vallarta has been recognized by TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice Awards; since 2012 it has been recognized in categories like "Best Beach Destinations of the World" (2012), "Best Beaches in Mexico" (2012) and "Best Destinations in Mexico" (2012 and 2013.)
Earlier this year, TripAdvisor named Puerto Vallarta #4 out of 10 'Best Overall Destination in Mexico,' and announced Banderas Bay area winners in other 2014 categories, including the St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, which ranked at #8 out of the 'Top 25 Hotels in the World,' and #1 in the 'Top 25 Hotels in Mexico' category; and Villa La Estancia in Nuevo Vallarta and The Four Seasons Punta Mita coming in at #6 and #16, respectively in the 'Top 25 Hotels in Mexico' category. And since Banderas Bay is known for its beautiful beaches, it comes as no surprise that Nuevo Vallarta Beach was listed at #8 on the 'Top 10 Mexico Beaches' list.
And Puerto Vallarta continues to add to its awards. In August 2014 it was also ranked No. 4 in the "Best Cities in Mexico, Central and South America" from the "World's Best Awards" published by the renowned U.S. travel magazine, Travel + Leisure; and #3 in the "Best Beaches in Mexico" and #4 in the "Best Spring Break Destination" categories of the January 2014 US News & World Report polls.
Puerto Vallarta earned all of these recognitions by consistently offering exceptional tourism services. As one of Mexico's most attractive destinations, the Banderas Bay region's steady growth has been accompanied by improved services, an extensive expansion of its infrastructure, and an increasing number of cultural activities to better serve both the growing number of travelers who visit Puerto Vallarta every year, and the city's ever-growing population.
Many congratulations to the people of Puerto Vallarta and its tourism industry that keep our visitors coming back for more!
