Guadalajara, Jalisco - Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico, S.A.B. de C.V. said that as the result of a competitive bidding process, it has been selected and has reached an agreement with the Spanish entity, Abertis Airports, S.A. for the acquisition of its 100 percent stake in Spanish company Desarrollo de Concesiones Aeroportuarias, S.L. (DCA), for 190.8 million USD.
DCA, held in its totality by Abertis, itself holds a 74.5 percent stake in Jamaican company MBJ Airports Limited, as well as a 14.77 percent stake in the Chilean company SCL Terminal Aéreo Santiago, S.A.
Once the transaction has been formalized, the company will announce its details to the market.Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) operates 12 airports throughout Mexico's Pacific region, including the major cities of Guadalajara and Tijuana, the four tourist destinations of Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, La Paz and Manzanillo, and six mid-sized cities: Hermosillo, Guanajuato, Morelia, Aguascalientes, Mexicali and Los Mochis.
