Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - If you are a horse lover, then you are going to want to be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico from November 27th through 29th for the 9 Campeonato Nacional de Caballos Bailadores (Ninth National Championship of Dancing Horses.)
For the next two days, events will be held at the Lienzo Charro Miguel "Prieto" Ibarria. This is a popular rodeo arena outside of downtown Puerto Vallarta. It is on the road generally referred to as the "BullFight Road" on the way to Colonia Ixtapa. (Click HERE for map.) There is ample parking available.
On Saturday, November 28 starting at 6 pm, there will be completions at the Lienzo Charro Miguel "Prieto" Ibarria (rodeo arena) in the Frisian, Spanish, Aztec and Creole breed categories. On Sunday, there will be bull riding competitions accompanied by live music by Leo Ibarría and his Banda Ranchero Fiel.
General admission tickets cost $100 pesos for the November 28th event and $150 pesos for the November 29th event. Children get in free on both days.
This traditional event, featuring the Caballos Bailadores de Puerto Vallarta and horses by the from different places around the country, has been held in Puerto Vallarta since 2007. Come out and enjoy the show. Advance tickets are available at Abarrores Amapa or MinSuper Juan Carlos in Las Juntas, or at the arena box office on the event days.
