Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - There's always so much going on in Puerto Vallarta and around Banderas Bay it can be difficult to keep up with it all. Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit Nominated for Best Destination

Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have recently been nominated in the Best Destination category of the 2017 TravelAge West Magazine Wave Awards. In this edition, these two destinations, along with Riviera Maya, Cancun and Los Cabos, compete in the race to win the award for Destination with the Highest Client Satisfaction, won last year by Riviera Maya. Also, some other Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit hotels and resorts have been included in other categories. The Hotel W Punta de Mita is nominated for the Best New Resort in Mexico. Hyatt Ziva, AMResorts and Hard Rock Hotels are in the race for the Best All-Inclusive Hotel Chain in Mexico. As for the luxury hotels worldwide, the nomination of three representatives of Riviera Nayarit, namely The St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts Punta Mita, as well as The Glamor Peninsula stand out. These hotels compete in the category for Best Luxury Hotels Brands worldwide. In addition, the Mexico Tourism Board (CPTM) has been nominated as one of the worldwide tourism boards that best support travel agents, competing against Australia, Jamaica, New Zealand and Tahiti. Free Sterilization and Adoption Day for Dogs

A special day has been planned with a combined Dog Adoption Day sponsored by Capital Pirata FM 105.9 and a free PEACEAnimals Spay and Neuter Clinic on Sunday, April 30 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. We can only accommodate 30 animals for the free Spay and Neuter Clinic, so please arrive early to make sure your pet is included. Come and cuddle with all of the dogs available for adoption and choose the one (or more) that wins your heart. The venue will be the Puerto Vallarta Sports Stadium (Unidad Deportiva Augustín Flores Contreras) across the street from the Sheraton Resort in the Hotel Zone.

Los del Sur Benefit Concert for Los Fridos Cultural Center

On Monday, May 8 at 8:00 pm Los del Sur will perform a concert at The Jazz Foundation to benefit the Los Fridos cultural center in Colonia Educación. Los Fridos provides local children with a platform for training, creation and dissemination of artistic and cultural activities through a variety of activities that include: free art workshops; music classes, like choral singing and playing instruments; ecological awareness programs that encourage children to care for the environment; and free screenings of movies that highlight positive values, etc. The cost of these classes is the child's participation in community services such as a weekly neighborhood clean up and the development of murals to beautify the Colonia. Los del Sur plays music from Argentina, from different eras and styles, like Tango, Zamba, Chacarera, Huayno, Rock, etc. Advance tickets are available now at The Jazz Foundation for just $150 (pre-sale) or $200 at the door on the day of the event. The Jazz Foundation is located at Allende 116, El Centro, just a few feet off the Malecón and across the street from La Bodegita del Medio.

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Vacation in Riviera Nayarit

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian returned to the Riviera Nayarit this week for another vacation, this time to celebrate Kourtney's 38th birthday. Once again they stayed at Casa Aramara, the luxurious property owned by their friend Joe Francis. The sisters donned their bikinis and soaked up the sun in Punta Mita alongside several of their close friends, including: Brittany Gastineau, Malika Haqq, Larsa Pippin and Kim's assistant Stephanie Shepherd. The girls enjoyed Coronas on the beach before taking a dip in the water. They also took a moment to snap a group photo (because if there are no photos, did it really even happen?) to be posted on their social media accounts, along with all of their other adventures in Mexico's Pacific Treasure, which has become their favorite beach destination.
