Promotion of Puerto Vallarta in Finland is Reinforced

April 20, 2017

Mr. Tero Norvio, who owns a luxury travel, culture and adventure tour agency, was the second tour operator from Finland to visit Vallarta since the new Helsinki-Puerto Vallarta weekly flight was announced.

Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - After promoting our destination at the 2017 Tianguis Turístico held in Acapulco March 27-30, the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust invited Mr. Tero Norvio, who represents a luxury travel, culture and adventure tour agency in Finland, to visit our city.

Norvio, who owns Aventura.fi, commented that thanks to Finnair's new Helsinki-Puerto Vallarta weekly flight, which has capacity for 350 people and will operate from November 2017 to March 2018, it will be easier for Finnish travelers to visit Puerto Vallarta and its sister destination, Riviera Nayarit.

Approximately 7,000 people from Finland and other Northern European countries are expected to visit Puerto Vallarta during the 20 weeks the flight is scheduled to operate.

The travel agent said that since the duration of the flight is 13 hours, and his clients are mostly seniors, retired, or childless, they are likely to spend at least one week of their average three-week vacation period on Banderas Bay beaches.

During his visit, Mr. Norvio was surprised and impressed by the incredible natural beauty, cultural and gastronomical offerings, and the wide range of lodging choices that Puerto Vallarta has to offer travelers from Finland.

As expected, the executive showed interest primarily in properties for adults only and boutique or organic hotels, concepts that ensure greater privacy for his customers.

The intention of this tour operator is to give continuity to trips to the region, considering that there is excellent connectivity with the East and West coasts of the United States from Finland, as well as charter flights from London, excellent connectivity options to both Regions that can work very well for his clients and in other vacation seasons.

Prior to this visit, a representative of the company Aurinkomatkat.fi also visited the destination and closed negotiations with some Puerto Vallarta hotels to reinforce room/night sales for travelers on the upcoming flights in hopes that they will not only be successful, but perpetual.
